la-la-la
having slept at 3 plus am last night, bei and i were, apparently, too tired to get up before 12pm today. no choice, i called my pig to get him ready.. we're going for our long-awaited movie session!!!
NORBIT. that's what we watched today. hmm, you cant deny it's hilarious. but, i would prefer the comedy in another way... if you know what i mean.. humour was injected using Rasputia's (norbit's wife) HUGE physique. lol.. "she" is obese in an unbelievable way. of cos, thanks to all the effects added. it's quite scary in a way.. one interesting thing about this movie is that both the roles of norbit and rasputia are acted by Eddie Murphy. but i couldn't really see the resemblance.. serious. i think he did a great job! it's actually quite an intelligent way to contrast norbit's character with rasputia's. abiding and timid VS demanding and ferocious respectively. i would rate it 3.5/5. cos as i said earlier on, i would have preferred the comedy presented in another way. perhaps, the laughter elements are not really impactful. norbit just sounds so wrong to me.. haha.. alright, you guys should see for yourself.
anyways, i wore my black dress out today! weeee.. and my pretty wedges make me look and feel so tall today. wahahaha.. that's the purpose of wedges, no? make a short person look tall. lol.. but wearing new shoes for the first time is hell. my feet hurts. but i still love them!
we're going for Just Follow Law tmr! hope it'll turn out nice. i have a feeling it's not really that nice. perhaps due to the issue the movie is tackling--> inflexibility of outdated governmental rules and regulations and the rigid mindsets of civil servants who follow rules to a fault. it somehow seems quite alien to me. maybe cos i've not experienced it before, so i wouldn't know how well the movie portrays the real picture of the issue. oh well, we shall see how tmr. im going for it cos i think that Jack Neo's films wouldn't be disappointing. hope im right!
