PROTEGE =)) [Edited]
bei almost couldn't get up today right.. LOL.. msg-ed him to wake him up and this is what i get from him "tired tired.. ok" hahaha.. naughty boy.. everyday so late then sleep.
due to skipping dinner the previous night, i was so famished when i woke up.. satisfied the starving hunger with Pepper Lunch! they're having this $2 off all steak sets til the end of February. the last time we went to watch Norbit at cine, we were too full to squeeze in Pepper Lunch for our dinner, so we made a deal to come back before 28th Feb to enjoy the promotion. LOL. had a filling lunch and went back to cine to wait for our show to start.
Protege attempts to realistically tell the story of undercover agents in the clandestine drug world, who struggle to constantly walk on the fine line between justice and crime, but who will never see the day of serving in the regular police force. simple storyline but the message behind the movie is significant for all humans on earth. steer clear away the sight, smell and touch of drugs. dont abuse drugs, and worse, drag in innocent people in this never-ending and torturous habit.
i thought daniel wu was a perfect actor for the movie. maybe cos his looks can be regarded as both an undercover and as a drug trafficker. he's so cool with his sharp eyes and serious look that doesn't falter even when people are judging him during their first meeting with him(to see if he's trusthworthy). louis koo was quite a turn off laa.. in the sense of his image. LOL. im sure those who have watched it would agree with me unanimously. but at certain point, his role managed to create roaring laughters from the audience. i thought it was quite a good movie. with a good storyline, and more imptly, an important message to convey to the audience, especially since the issue of drugs is so real in the society. the movie is not the least bit draggy as it keeps you on the track on what's happening. i was kinda captivated and engrossed in it. and the last scene really make people (or at least me) wonder if undercovers are really able to juggle ethically between their profession as an undercover agent and as the most trustworthy "subordinate" of the biggest dealer in the drugs's world.
mum called and suggested having dinner together after her work. after deciding for a long time, we settled on sakae sushi. =)) yumyum.. we had softshell crab, fried hotate, spicy salmon maki, cold tofu, beef udon(bei's), tempura udon (mum and i shared) and lastly, my favourite hotate in the shells.. haha i duno the exact name for that. but it's simply delicious!! with the prawn creamy-like thing on top of it. woots! heaven!
really had been a movie (and mahjong) marathon this few days.. Norbit, then Just Follow Law and Protege today. done with the movies but the mahjong marathon has not ended. tmr there's a mahjong session with the buddies!! eunice's joining us! so long since we've seen her.. yeahh, playing at her house tmr! tentatively, we're booked for mahjong on thurs too.. hahaha.. gonna have a great time mahjong-ing. =D
