la-la-la
the long(est)-awaited movie! finally caught it today.. what can i say! the song in the movie "Way Back Into Love" is really nice.. very soothing and calming.. owing to the melodious tune and wonderful lyrics.. i think the male lead Hugh Grant can really sing.. his vocals are very manly and refreshing.. it's the type of vocals that u can count on to calm ur moods and emotions.. and i think it's really sweet for a guy to compose songs specially for the woman he loves.. it's such a sincere and touching gesture!
after a few movie-watching experiences in GV, i found that i truly prefer Cathay!
Reasons being:
#1- Cost! The tix (over at Cathay) are way cheaper than GV. now, there's even the student promo going on! it's very distinct what one will choose. talk about saving money!
#2- The seats are more comfortable.. and has alot more leg-space.
#3- When smth's screened, there wont be any "jumping" lines, if u know what i mean. The screenings at Cathay are more professional.. in a way lar..
#4- Atmosphere! how can we forget this.. it's what we (are willing to) pay for actually! in GV, it's NOT pitch-dark even when the movie has commenced. fail! (ok lar, at least to me, part of the atmosphere feeling is dependent on the lightings)
#5- The popcorns are cheaper at Cathay! and yummier! i dont see why GV has to come up with a (ridiculous) popcorn combo and expect ppl to buy it. $8.50 for a drink, popcorn and a pathetic cup of ice-cream. -_-" what about those ppl who ONLY want popcorns and drink? it goes as high as $7 when u can get it at only $5.50 at Cathay.
#6- skill! people, where is it! when i request for both sweet & salted popcorns, GV staff will fill the box with salted and then sweet and then salted and then sweet ones, while Cathay ppl do it at a much intelligent way.. half for sweet, half for salted. i'll tell you why is it impt.. going by GV's way, you'll most probably taste only the sweet ones cos the sweetness undeniable overpowered the saltiness when u're having both at the same time.. thus, it totally defeats the purpose of ordering both flavours.
ok, done with the ramblings. haha..
with the Gold card, we have a daily free game.. bei says it's not worthwhile to play on Slingo since it costs only $0.40 while his outrun car game costs $0.95. haha.. sucha naughtie.. ok lar, let u play on outrun, BUT must be good! =))
the funny thing about my boy is that he'll be rattling non-stop on some nonsensical stuff, entertaining me with some hilarious actions of his and when i finally rebuked him for being so silly, he'll give me a very serious face and tell me "Dont play leh!" the pot calling the kettle back huh! crazy boy! and bei, your DOLPHINE MOVE! LOL!
